Karla Holland-Moritz
Cello
Karla Holland-Moritz grew up in Michigan, where she studied with Gretchen
Dalley, played in the Michigan Youth Symphony and attended the National
Music Camp and Interlochen Arts Academy. She studied with Aldo Parisot
at Yale, where she received a Masters in Music Performance.
Karla is Co-Director, along with San Diego Symphony cellist Glen Campbell, of
Strings by the Sea, a week-long summer Suzuki music camp, now in its 15th
year, held at Point Loma Nazarene University. Strings by the Sea serves
approximately 150 violin, viola, and cello students each summer.

Karla is a Suzuki cello teacher with an active studio of adult cello
students of all levels. In addition to taking private lessons, her students play in
cello ensemble twice a month. The cello ensemble has performed in the San Diego community
in venues such as shelters for the homeless, United Cerebral Palsy programs,
Alzheimers programs, Veterans' retirement homes, and other retirement
communities.
