What makes music special to you?
Music brings people together. It introduces us to new places, people, and stories!
What is the most exciting/thrilling musical experience you’ve had and what made it so?
My first season with the SDSO has been a huge thrill! To start off my time in the symphony with a tour to Carnegie Hall felt incredibly special.
What is your fondest memory of San Diego?
My favorite memory of San Diego so far was watching the Coronado Christmas Parade/tree lighting and enjoying dinner at Buona Forchetta after. I love exploring all that San Diego has to offer – there’s so much to do and see!

What do you enjoy most about playing with the San Diego Symphony?
Working at the San Diego Symphony has been a fantastic experience. I’ve had the pleasure of meeting many incredible colleagues and friends during my time here. The orchestra’s atmosphere is truly exceptional, and the quality of our performances is outstanding as well.
How has music or the skills utilized in music changed your view on life or on something specific in your life?
Studying music has had a profound impact on me. It’s taught me the value of open-mindedness and creativity, while also instilling traits like consistency and self-control. Practicing every day isn’t easy; it requires challenging oneself and critiquing our performance to identify mistakes and areas for improvement. I believe mastering music is particularly demanding because it demands a delicate balance between emotional expression and technical proficiency.
What is your fondest memory of San Diego?
My fondest memory of San Diego would be the beaches at sunset! I love going on hikes and trails by the shore, and La Jolla and Coronado are my favorites!
