Alicia joined the San Diego Symphony in 1989 following a year with the New World Symphony in Miami, Florida led by Michael Tilson Thomas. She studied violin with Stanley Bednar at the Manhattan School of Music and with Larry Shapiro at the University of Akron.
Alicia has been a member of the Pacific Symphony in Costa Mesa and the Akron and Canton Symphonies in Ohio. She has performed in the Blossom Chamber Music, Spoleto, and Puccini (Torre del Lago Italy) Festivals. Performances with celebrities include the Grammy Awards Orchestra, Michael Crawford Tour, and Neil Diamond Tour, with TV appearances on The View, The Today Show, and A&E Live by Request.
Alicia plays an 1837 violin by ASP Bernardel made in Paris.
