Do you want to learn more about the instruments in an orchestra? Or about the music we play?
Here are a number of links to get you started:

DSOKids
“The Dallas Symphony Orchestra’s magical doorway to a world of musical fun and learning for students, parents and teachers”

BBC Guide to the Orchestra
This site, aimed at younger audience members (ages 12 and under), also shows the instruments of the orchestra, along with sound samples.

Interactive Guide to the Symphony
Here’s the current flagship website for learning about the instruments of the symphony. Carnegie Hall has launched a highly interactive guide-to-the-symphony game for children (adults have been known to play as well . . .). Users must create a login, and then can play a game based on Benjamin Britten’s “Young Person’s Guide to the Orchestra”. Highly recommended.
